The College Equestrian Centre is a championship quality venue within the Midlands / Home Counties region of the UK. The venue is easily accessible from most of the country being located within the A1 / M1 corridor, with easy access from the A14 (& M6).
Permanent facilities consist of the following.
Main indoor arena of 30 x 60 metres
Indoor collecting arena 40 x 30 metres
- Barriers between these can be removed to give a championship arena of 30 x
100 metres, or moved to give two 30 x 40 arenas plus collecting area |
|
Outdoor all weather arena
of 64 x 84 metres
All the above arenas are surfaced with Mactrac premium waxed surface, and
maintained to excellent
standards (Photos of site may show previous surface).
Spectator areas consist of a permanent 318 seat tiered & heated gallery overlooking the indoor arena, and a 66 x 4 metre covered viewing area to the outdoor arena that can (comfortably) accommodate 200 people. There are grassed banks overlooking the outdoor arena, all arenas can accommodate temporary grandstand seating.
The indoor arena complex is designed around a 1000 person seating capacity to ensure that emergency exits and alarm facilities are suitable for high capacity events incorporating temporary seating. This makes The College one of the safest venues in the country. |

Facilities on grass allow for the comfortable
running of a One Day Event. Sanded grass facilities include BE
Intro, Pre-novice, & Novice
Cross country course (Click here for more
information), six short dressage arenas, and a huge (140 x 80 metre)
grass jumping arena with a separate warm up area. The jumping arena
will split comfortably into 2 separated 80 x 60 arenas.
Other facilities within the arena complex include reception and office accommodation; new (and clean!) toilet block; 100 cover cafeteria / restaurant with highly flexible commercial kitchen (the cafeteria can also be formatted as a meeting room); there is also a retail unit
(Think Tack) within the complex selling everything equestrian.
Events run at The College are enhanced by our arena decoration, public address system, and background music. Radio microphones and network communication ensure that events can be run smoothly.
Other facilities include large hardstanding parking areas, permanent stabling
for 50 (of which 38 are on rubber matting) with room to take unlimited temporary
stables, and a large area of grass paddocks. Some of this grass area is seeded with a sport grass mix to give areas for secondary competition arenas, while the rest is more than adequate for trade and parking areas.
